Transportation

Weststar offers a modern trucking fleet of Western Star tractors. Our fleet meets all California Air Resource Board requirements. Weststar offers over 350 trailers of every configuration needed to support the oil & gas and industrial construction industries. We have a large trucking fleet of fully licensed and qualified drivers familiar with all the oilfields in California. This definitely gives Weststar an edge in providing cost effective and on time delivery of any goods or product a customer needs. We have the best drivers in our industry and are proud of the work they perform every day. Partner this with a modern roster of equipment and a commitment from management to technology (in cab GPS, 360° backup cameras, touch screen monitors to message with dispatch) and you have a formula for success. We also have the largest trucking fleet of high bed, low bed and process trailers in the state and are committed to customization to meet any customer’s needs.

Logistics

We consider ourselves a full-service 3PL. A standard full-service 3PL will provide services across multiple industries. Those services will include auditing freight bills, reducing freight rates, reporting and technology in the form of a Transportation Management System (TMS). A true 3PL will bring you these same services but leave the decision making up to you. A standard 3PL will bring best practices but make their own decisions of how to manage your logistics function.

Yard Management

Specializing in oil country tubular goods (OCTG), we have over 75 years of collective managerial experience in setting up, running and sustaining a full service yard management solution. Whether it is small dimension tubing or large dimension line pipe, we have experience safely loading and unloading, racking and transferring, and stacking and storing tubulars of all sizes and weight. We have the expertise to choose the correct size forklift and qualified operators to move materials in the yard. We also have the administrative experience to train and deploy clerks to effectively transact all the activities of the yard on a daily basis. In Addition, Weststar has in place a customized inventory management software, Raptor Material Manager, which equips the boots-on-the-ground workers to accurately and consistently communicate inventory movement and location to upper management and customer representatives.
